Faith Formation and Religious Education

Our goal in faith formation and religious education is to help each person fall in love with Jesus Christ and his Church.  Through the Word, Sacraments, service, and community, we seek to build up God's kingdom here on earth.  Parents are involved as important examples of disciples growing in faith.

We are all called to holiness.  Join us on the journey!

Traditional Weekly Religious Education
These classes are open to all families with children in grades PK through 8th grade, especially those who do not attend a Catholic school. Meetings are held once per week on Monday evenings from 7pm-8:15pm in Saint Ursula School, from September through May. These classes are classroom based with children grouped by grades.

Family Faith Formation
These classes are open to all, especially those families with children in grades PK-8 who do not attend a Catholic School.  Meetings are held once per month on Saturday evenings from 6pm-8pm in the Spiritual Center from September through May. In Family Faith Formation, participants attend
monthly meeting sessions together, and complete lessons at home between sessions. A potluck meal is provided each session, and families help set up and clean up on a rotating basis.

Religious Education and Family Faith Formation PreK - 8th grade
Tuition: 1 child $75     2 or more children $125
As an integral part of our faith formation curriculum, we will be teaching Catechesis for Family Life. This age-appropriate program about Christian living, chastity, character formation, and safe environment training promotes communication between you and your child. You are encouraged to review the program materials that the teacher/catechist will be using in the classroom, as well as the materials you will receive for home discussion. After examining the program, if you have any questions or concerns about your child participating in this program, please contact Laura Weatherington at [email protected].

Summary of religious education curriculum by grade
