The St. Ursula Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul operates an emergency food pantry at St. Ursula Church. Our Pantry helps many families in our Community with food assistance. The Pantry also offers limited financial help with other emergencies including BGE turn-off notices, rent eviction notices, medical and transportation problems. If you're in need of assistance, please call (410) 665-0918 to schedule an appointment. Office hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between 2pm-4pm. You may call during those hours, or leave a message anytime, and it will be returned upon their opening. Appointments are required for all assistance requests.
Non-perishable food items may be donated to the pantry before or after all Masses on the first Saturday/Sunday of the month. Bags may be left on the tables outside the garage. The pantry is also in need of plastic grocery bags, and they may be left with your donations.
Helping Neighbors during the Holidays
We seek your support again this year in preparation for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. Please see below some opportunities to assist needy families in our area.
Donate additional Holiday food items for our Thanksgiving & Christmas baskets: stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, canned sweet potatoes, canned sauerkraut, boxed biscuit mix, instant mashed potatoes mix, canned pumpkin pie mix, boxed pie crust, canned evaporated milk. Leave these items at The Pantry on the first Sundays of November and December (11/5 & 12/3).
Provide monetary donations to supplement holiday foods or the Adopt-A-Family Project.
Participate in the Adopt-A-Family Project through sponsoring a needy family at Christmas or providing monetary support through an envelope contribution.
Envelopes for monetary donations may be found in the pews or in the back of Church. Please make checks payable to “St. Vincent de Paul” and drop in the collection basket or send to the Office @ 8805 Harford Road, Baltimore, MD 21234. Call SVdP Office @ 410-665-0918 with any questions.
We thank you for your consistent support. Because of your generosity we are able to help many needy families in the community.
